Do I always need an English test?

Not always. Some applicants are exempt, for example by nationality or by holding a degree taught in English that the sponsor has assessed. Where a test is required, it must be an approved SELT taken at an approved centre.

How much money do I need to show?

Maintenance levels are set in the Immigration Rules and differ inside and outside London, and by route. We confirm the current figure and the exact holding period before you file.

Can Indus Emissary provide an endorsement?

No. Endorsements for founder routes are issued only by approved endorsing bodies. We help you prepare the application to their standard; the decision is entirely theirs.

Is a refusal permanent?

No, but a refusal must be declared in future applications and its reasons must be addressed. We review refusal notices in detail before any refiling.

Route overview

The UK operates a points-based system. Rather than a discretionary assessment, each route awards points for defined, evidenced attributes — a valid Certificate of Acceptance for Studies, an endorsement from an approved body, English at the required CEFR level, and maintenance funds held for the required period.

Alongside the points, UK caseworkers apply a credibility assessment. A file can meet every documentary requirement and still be refused if the intention, course choice or business plan does not withstand scrutiny.

Most applications are submitted online, followed by biometrics at a visa application centre and, for some student applicants, a short credibility interview.
